Sue Johnson was the women’s tennis team’s number-one singles player from 1990 to 1993, compiling a career singles record of 29-9 in dual matches and a 38-15 overall record. In doubles, Johnson produced a 27-16 career mark.

Johnson, who was the NJAC Rookie of the Year in 1990, was a three-time selection to the All-NJAC Singles Team (1990, 1991, 1993), while earning All-Conference recognition in doubles in 1991. As a freshman, she went 13-3 in dual matches, and 14-5 overall, to go along with a 13-4 record in doubles. She served as the team captain for the Profs in 1992 and 1993.

In 1991, Johnson was a NJAIAW Singles Finalist and Doubles Champion and was named the South Jersey Tennis Coaches Association Player of the Year for College in 1993.

Following graduation from Rowan in 1993, she went on to a career as a guidance counselor and tennis coach.
