Head coach John Giannini guided Rowan to its first-ever NCAA Division III title as the Profs downed Hope College, 100-83, in the Profs’ first appearance in the championship game since 1975.

Rowan's explosive offense set tournament records in three categories: most points in a six-game series (594), most field goals in a six-game series (206), and most assists in a six-game series (122). The Profs as a team shot 52 percent from the floor and had five players score in double figures in the title game.

Rowan was led by Most Outstanding Player Terrence Stewart and All-Tournament guard Antwan Dasher. In the title game, Stewart drained four-of-six three-pointers and netted 17 points, while Dasher scored a team-high 19, including a perfect 9-of-9 from the line.

The Profs reached the championship game by defeating Illinois Wesleyan, 79-77, in the semifinals as Stewart led the way with 30 points, including 21 in the second half. Demetrius Poles tipped in a basket with eight seconds remaining and Stewart iced the win with the final point at the foul line.

Rowan, which finished the year with a 28-4 record, defeated Williams (85-77) and Stockton (98-70) in the Atlantic Sectional, and then defeated York (NY) in the NCAA First Round, 130-66, and New Jersey City, 102-83, in the Second Round.
