Rich Dixon earned more NCAA individual titles than any athlete in Rowan history and was an 11-time All-American for the track team, while also standout for the Profs’ soccer program.

Dixon was the national champion in the 400 meters outdoors in 1997 and 1998 and won that event at the indoor championship in 1999 and 2000. Additionally, he was a member of the Profs’ 4x400 meter relay team that captured the 1999 NCAA Indoor Championship.

At the NCAA Outdoor Championships, Dixon had a fifth-place finish in the 200 meters (1998), third place in the 4x400 relay (1998), sixth place in the 4x400 (1999), and took fourth place in the 400 (1999, 2000), to become a four-time All-American in that event.

At the indoor championships, Dixon’s winning time of 47.64 in 1999 was a NCAA Championships record, while he also finished third in the 400 (1998).

Dixon received the National Athlete of the Year award from the U.S. Track Coaches Association once for outdoor track and once for indoor track and was the Outstanding Male Athlete at the 1999 NCAA Outdoor Championships. In 2000, he was named the NJAC Male Athlete of the Year.

Dixon was a four-time All-NJAC performer in soccer, being named to the First Team in 1996 and 1998 and receiving honorable mention in 1995 and 1999. He recorded 25 goals and 31 assists (81 points), during his career.
