Maurice “Moe” Davis made an impact on the men’s basketball program in just two years, earning All-America honors in both seasons.

Davis began his career at Miami (Ohio), but the native of Glassboro transferred home to Rowan and helped the Profs win the 1999 NJAC Championship, averaging 15.0 points and 6.6 rebounds per game, while shooting 61 percent from the field. The 6-5 center was chosen to the NJAC All-Conference First Team and was named to the NABC All-America Second Team, becoming just the third Prof to earn the distinction.

As a senior, Davis averaged 19.6 points per game for the Profs’ squad that earned a bid to the NCAA Tournament and reached the NCAA Sectionals. He garnered All-America Second Team honors again while also making a repeat appearance on the All-Conference First Team.

Davis closed out his career scoring 915 points in just two seasons and 53 games played, owning a 17.3 scoring average, helping the Profs compile a 47-7 record during that time.
