Dave O’Connor was a state champion and NCAA qualifier for the Glassboro State golf team.
 
A four-year letterwinner, O’Connor was a three-time New Jersey state individual Collegiate Champion (1974, 1975, 1977) and was the runner-up once in 1976. He qualified for the NCAA Championships in 1975, 1976 and 1977.
 
After graduating from GSC in 1977, O’Connor became a PGA Golf Professional.
