John Blazich is a record-holder and one of the top all-time scorers for the men’s basketball program, playing from 1968 to 1971.
Blazich set the Glassboro State/Rowan mark for rebounds in a game with 33 during the 1968-69 season, a record that still stands. He scored 41 points in a game, which tied the record held by Bob Belle, but has since been broken. Blazich, a 1971 graduate, finished his career with 1,432 points, which at the time of his induction ranked fourth, and is now sixth on the list of all-time scorers in the program.
In 1970, was named to the All-State second team, while he averaged double figures in scoring and rebound for his career. During his senior year, the Profs were conference co-champions, District 31 champions and advanced to the second round of the NAIA Tournament.
