Shane Larkin was an All-American during his soccer career (1997-2000) in which the Profs enjoyed great success.

The midfielder was chosen to the 2002 National Soccer Coaches Association All-America Second Team and the Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team and earned NJAC All-Conference honors three times, with two years (1999, 2000) on the first team. He totaled 69 points with 20 goals and 29 assists in 89 career matches which included 31 points (8 goals, 15 assists) in his senior season.

A team captain, Larkin helped the Profs compile a 73-17-1 record during his career. Rowan was the NCAA runner-up in 2000 with a 24-2 record and advanced to the national semifinals in 1998, while reaching the NCAA Tournament all four years. He totaled 69 points with 20 goals and 29 assists in 89 career matches which included 31 points (8 goals, 15 assists) in his senior season.

 A 2001 graduate, Larkin received the Coach Richard Wackar Award for outstanding athletic achievement, leadership and attitude that year.
