He became the first in the program’s history named an All-American  by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) when he was chosen to the team in 1978. He was a two-time selection to the NJSCAC All-Conference First Team and was named the ECAC Small College Player of the Year in 1978.

The outfielder earned All-NJSAC First Team honors in both 1978 and 1979 for the NCAA Champion Profs.

The running back/return specialist signed as an undrafted free agent with the Cleveland Browns in 1979 and played in 64 games until 1983, while being considered one of the top kick returners in the team’s history.
