LIST OF HALL OF FAME INDUCTEES

In 2012, the hallway in Esbjornson Gymnasium displaying the University's Hall of Fame inductees was named the Shirley O'Day/Joy Solomen Athletic Hall of Fame in honor of their combined service and leadership in coaching and athletics administration that spanned more than five decades. A coach and physical education professor, O’Day was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004, while Solomen, a student-athlete, coach and athletic director, was one of the first inductees in 1986. Both women were advocates for student-athletes and the development of skill and character through sports, influencing thousands of students and creating opportunities for leadership within and beyond intercollegiate athletics.

The hallway consists of plaques with the name of the inductees while a new digital display is also housed in the front lobby of the building.
