A pitcher, Sbarra compiled a 72-28 won-lost record in four seasons (1987-90). She pitched 694.1 innings and had a 1.26 ERA with 218 strikeouts. She also had a .354 batting average with 70 hits.

Sbarra held the school records for ERA (1.26) and shutouts (26) in a career. She was also the record holder for victories in a season (25) in 1989 and a career (75). In addition, she held the school marks for career games (112); games started, season (33, 1989) and career (98); complete games, season (33, 1989) and career (97); innings pitched, season (232.2, 1989) and career (694.1).

Her senior year, Sbarra compiled a 29-14 record and led the Profs to the NJAC Conference Championship and to the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament. She was named to the All-Conference first team and the All-Region team.

Sbarra received her bachelor’s in health and physical education in 1991. She was inducted into the Hammonton High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999. Sbarra was a 1986 graduate of Hammonton High.
