Smith College

Munyon was the first cross country runner to earn All-America honors at the College. He earned eight varsity letters in cross country and track. Munyon was All-Conference in cross country for four straight seasons and held several of the Profs’ school records.
 
Munyon was featured in the 1975 edition of Outstanding College Athletes of America and received the George C. Marshall Award as one of the nation’s top ROTC graduates. He was a member of the Sigma Delta Pi and the Spanish National Honor Society.
