Robert Abdullah was a two-time NCAA champion for the Profs winning titles in the 110-meter hurdles and as a member of the mile relay team in 1984. During his career, Abdullah earned All-America honors four times and was an 11-time All-Conference selection. Additionally, he was chosen to the All-State team nine times and was a 10-time All-Collegiate Track Conference honoree.

He was named the Most Valuable Runner in the NJAC his senior year and at the time of his graduation, held 12 school records, three meet records and two track marks. Abdullah captained the Profs for four years and was named the squad's Most Valuable Runner three times.
