Mario Albert Harris was a four-year player (1966 to 1970) for the Glassboro State football team, captaining the squad his senior year.

The defensive tackle was named to the New Jersey State College All-Star team in both 1969 and 1970 while being honored as the Profs’ Defensive Most Valuable Player twice. He also received the Men’s Athletic Association Past President Award for Most Valuable Player in 1969.

The graduate of Rancocas Valley High School was honored by both the Brooks-Irvine Memorial Football Club and the South Jersey Touchdown Club.

Harris earned his bachelor’s degree in art education in 1974 and went on to coach football at Oakcrest High School.
