Rob Scott established himself as one of the top scorers in Rowan men’s basketball history and played a key role as the Profs had four years of great success.

Scott was a member of the Profs’ teams from 1994 to 1998 that made four straight appearances in the NCAA Tournament and achieved the ultimate, a national championship.

In 1994-95, Scott’s freshman year, Rowan advanced to the NCAA Division III Final Four and earned a third-place finish. The Profs took it one step further the following season, winning the 1996 NCAA Championship, and forever etching their legacy in Glassboro State/Rowan history as one of 11 teams to become national champions.

In the four years that Scott was on the court for the Profs, Rowan compiled an impressive 120-19 record.

Scott also received two of the highest individual honors his senior year when he was named to the NABC All-America First Team and was chosen as the 1998 NJAC Player of the Year. He averaged a team-best 17.1 points and 9.5 rebounds that season and finished his career with 1,244 points, which still ranks 12th on Rowan’s all-time scoring list, while he compiled 823 career rebounds.

He returned to Rowan later after his playing career was finished and completed his bachelor’s degree in 2015. He now works as a psychology rehab counselor for adults in Pennsauken, NJ, but previously spent 20 years working with teens
