The 1982 Glassboro State Men's Track & Field Team won its third consecutive NCAA Championship, as the Profs accumulated 119 points to outdistance runner-up Hamline (111.5 points) in the meet held at North Central College (Naperville, IL).

Garry Moore and Willie Lawson won NCAA individual championships as Moore won the 110-meter hurdles (13.99) for the second time. Lawson took first (1:50.29) in the 800 meters and also earned All-American status in the 400 meters (47.62) with a sixth-place finish.
 
The Profs also garnered points for the championship as Robert Abdullah captured second in both the 110-meter hurdles (14.22) and the long jump (23’ 11.5”). The 4x400 meter relay came in second (3:11.53) with a team of Anthony Stone, James Thompson, Nick Kenney and Lawson. Additionally, Lenny Hernandez placed fourth (9:04.57) in the 3000-meter steeplechase and Anthony Abicca put together a seventh-place finish (14.64) in the 110 hurdles.
