Donald Deckert was an NCAA Champion for the Profs and a three-time All-American, competing from 1982 to 1986.
 
Deckert captured the NCAA Division III title in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 1984, with a winning time of 9:00.13, and then followed that by earning All-American honors in 1985.
 
He finished fourth overall at the 1985 NCAA Cross Country Championships, with a time of 26:06, to receive All-America status. In 1984, Deckert was the individual champion at regionals.
 
A member of the All-Collegiate State Team in both sports for three years, Deckert was also chosen to the 1985 Runners World All-Star Team.
