In 1983, Moore was a national champion in two events for the track and field team. He won the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.01 and took first place in the 400-meter hurdles in 52.39. The track and field team won the 1983 team title which was the fourth straight NCAA championship for the Profs. Moore is a 1983 graduate with a degree in industrial technology.
