Clinton Tabb III was one of the top defensive players in Rowan football history while being part of some of the Profs' most successful teams from 1998-2001.

He was chosen to the D3football.com All-America First Team in 1999 and then earned Honorable Mention in 2000 and 2001. Tabb, from Pennsauken, NJ, was recognized as the NJAC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1998 and would go on to earn All-Conference First Team honors all four seasons.

The defensive back owns the school records for interceptions in a season with 12 in 1999, and holds the career record with 24. Tabb, who also ran track for Rowan, is the all-time leader with 326 yards on interception returns while he has touchdowns on a 95-yard fumble recovery and a 43-yard interception return to his credit.

With Tabb in the secondary, the Profs compiled a 40-9 record in four years, and was the national runner-up in 1998 and 1999 with consecutive berths in the Stagg Bowl. In his senior season (2001), Rowan won the NJAC title and reached the national semifinals.
