Jack Kruse was a five-time All-American in both cross country and track for Glassboro State.
He earned All-American honors twice in two track events, in the 5,000 meters (1978, 1979) and in the 10,000 meters (1979, 1980) and was named the track team's MVP twice.
In cross country, Kruse earned All-American status in 1979 with his seventh-place finish at nationals and was selected to both the All-Collegiate Track Conference Team and the All-NJSAC Team for three years (1976, 1978, 1979). He was named to the IC4A All-East Team in 1979 and received the school's Albert White Award in 1980.
Kruse received the 1979-80 Runner of the Year award from the South Jersey Track Coaches Association and in 1984, was South Jersey's only qualifier and participant in the 1984 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials.
