As head men’s soccer coach from 1976 to 2013, Dan Gilmore led the Profs to two NCAA titles, while posting an overall record of 559-184-59 (73.4 winning percentage).

The Profs won the NCAA Division III Championship in both 1981 and 1990 and were the runners-up in 1979 and 2000. Rowan also garnered third-place national finishes in 1980, 1985 and 1998, while compiling a 32-21-2 record in 24 NCAA Tournament appearances. Gilmore also led the Profs to a total of 13 NJAC Championships.

He was selected as the NJAC Coach of the Year nine times and saw 17 of his players earn All-America honors, while two were named the Intercollegiate Soccer Association of America Division III Player of the Year and one earned Goalkeeper of the Year honors.

Gilmore picked up his 500th victory in 2007 and at the time of his induction, he was one of only 12 coaches in NCAA history to record 500 career wins, while ranking seventh for victories among all divisions and fifth in Division III.
