Smith College

A tight end, Schneider was a starter three of his four seasons for the football team. His senior year (1981), Schneider had 32 receptions for 585 yards and four touchdowns. He earned Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Star first team honors and received All-America honorable mention. A co-captain, Schneider received All-Conference second team honors. In 1980, he was named the Touchdown Club of South Jersey College Player of the Year and was a member of the All-Conference first team. He compiled 502 yards receiving with 26 catches and scored three TDs. Schneider was the MVP of the Homecoming game.
 
His sophomore season, he finished with 28 receptions for 340 yards and three touchdowns. Schneider was selected to the All-Conference second team. In 1978, he had 167 yards with 13 receptions and two touchdowns. Schneider graduated with a bachelor’s in business administration. He is a 1978 graduate of Howell High School.
