Rowan University - Glassboro State College Hall of Fame
Jeffrey Pallies had the greatest winning percentage (92.6) of any wrestler at Glassboro State, as he compiled a 37-2-2 dual meet record in three seasons (1971-73).
He captained the team as a senior and went 13-0-1, while finishing first in District 31 and qualified for nationals. Pallies placed first at the Metropolitan Tournament and received the award for most pins in the least amount of time. He finished third at the Wilkes Open, which at the time was considered the “Rose Bowl” of college wrestling. At Wilkes, Pallies lost to the defending Division I national champion, but came back to win the consolation match against a former NAIA champion.
In 1972 he went 12-2-1, while winning the Millersville Open, the District 31 qualifier and the Metropolitan Tournament and his second straight fourth-place finish at the Wilkes Open. Pallies posted a 10-0 record in 1971, and was also the District 31 champion.
The 1974 graduate also played one season for the Profs' football team.
