The Glassboro State Men’s Track & Field team, under the direction of head coach Oscar Moore, won its second straight NCAA Division III Championship, in the meet held at Case Western Reserve University. The Profs totaled 58 points in the championship to outscore runner-up Augustana (42 points).

The Profs won three individual events and saw 11 student-athletes earn All-America honors. The individual NCAA championships were Garry Moore in the 110-meter hurldes (13.96), Willie Richardson in the 800 meters (1:51.12) and Mike Juskus in the javelin (248’ 8”).

Other top finishers and All-Americans were Leon Devero (4th, 110m hurdles), Clayton Davis (5th, 110m hurdles), Gregg Rapp (3rd, 5000m), and the second-place 4x400m relay team of Anthony Stone, Rivera, Richardson and Robert Lee.
