Rowan University - Glassboro State College Hall of Fame
He was a cross country and track athlete for four years. He was captain of the cross country team and member of the 1961 team that won the college’s first District 31 Championship. His senior year, he received the Albert F. White Award.

While at Glassboro, Oteri was the record holder of the school course and freshman course. He had 17 consecutive first place finishes and recorded the first place finish in Glassboro’s first cross country victory. In 1960, Oteri finished first against Temple University. His freshman and sophomore years, he was a medal winner at the Montclair Invitational. His junior year, he was the medal winner at the NAIA Championship. He was a member of the three-man track team that finished fourth among seven schools in 1959.

Oteri graduated with his bachelor’s degree in 1962 and received his master’s in 1966. He earned his Administrator and Business Administrator Certificates in 1968 and 1987 respectively.
