ResultsSEWELL, NJ – The Rowan University women's cross country team took first place at the Bill Fritz/Charlie Way Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The meet was held at Rowan College at Gloucester County.
Christin Bettis (sr. Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton) was the individual champion with a time of 23:13.82 over the 6K course.
Catherine Dougherty (sr. Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) followed second in 23:20.52.
Onyi Obelle (sr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) had a fifth place finish (23:55.77).
Alexis Conte (jr. Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) came in 11th (24:29.28) while
Jessica Nguyen (fr. Plainsboro, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro) and
Claire Corbett (jr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) were 13th (24:43.92) and 14th (24:45.78) respectively.
Christina Ricci (sr. Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood) took 22nd (25:28.86) and
Jennifer Klavens (fr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) was 23rd (25:33.26).
Katie Juniewicz (jr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) finished 31st (26:14.05) and
Lisa Leszcynski (sr. Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) was 35th (26:20.99).
Hillary Gooding (fr. Somerset, NJ/Franklin) came in 39th (26:30.89) followed by
Casey Bleistine (fr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson), 46th (27:22.44),
Alexis Hoerter (so. Dorothy, NJ/St. Joseph (Hammonton)), 47th (27:38.13) and
Kate Twilley (fr. Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central), 51st (27:54.60).
