By The Numbers
The 2016 meet featured 1,410 runners, making it the largest collegiate meet in New Jersey history. There were 23 nationally-ranked programs (10 men, 13 women) in the race and 25 teams went on to compete at the national championships (12 men, 13 women), including women's national champion Johns Hopkins University and men's national runner-up SUNY Geneseo. Both individual champions, Isaac Garcia-Cassani of SUNY Geneseo and Amy Regan of Stevens Institute of Technology, went on to win the NCAA Atlantic Regional and Regan also won the 2016 NCAA Division III Championship, her second national title. Overall, 23 student-athletes that earned All-America honors in the 2015 cross country or 2016 track seasons (10 men, 13 women) competed in the meet.
