ResultsNEWARK, DE – The Rowan University women's cross country team finished third at the Delaware Invitational on Saturday. The 6K race was held at White Clay Creek State Park.
Catherine Dougherty (sr. Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) was the Profs' first runner to score. She came in ninth out of 129 runners with a time of 24:15.28.
Onyi Obelle (sr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) was 21st (25:14.46) and
Alexis Conte (jr. Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) had a 26th place (25:35.95).
Jessica Nguyen (fr. Plainsboro, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro) and
Emily Acton (so. Pennsville, NJ/Pennsville Mem.) were 33rd (26:00.17) and 35th (26:23.04) respectively.
Christina Ricci (sr. Spotswood, NJ/Spotswood) took 39th (26:45.53) and
Claire Corbett (jr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) followed 40th (26:46.13).
Jennifer Klavens (fr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) was 45th (27:01.96),
Katie Juniewicz (jr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) finished 53rd (27:51.03) and
Lisa Leszcynski (sr. Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) came in 56th (27:54.05).
Next week, the Profs host the Bill Fritz/Charlie Way Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19 at 2 p.m. The course is at Rowan College at Gloucester County.
