BETHLEHEM, PA – The Rowan University women's track team traveled to the Coach P Invitational on Friday and Saturday. The meet was held at Moravian College.
The day was highlighted with
Kari DiTonno (jr. Livingston, NJ/Livingston) breaking the school record with her fifth place finish in the pole vault. She recorded a mark of 10' 6" (3.20 m) which surpassed the previous height of 10' 4" (3.15 m) set back in 2005.
Myiah Sturdivant (so. Sicklerville, NJ/Timber Creek Reg.) won the 400 meters in 57.45.
Hannah Vendetta (sr. Pitman, NJ/Pitman) was victorious in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:40.97. Both were season best times.
Alyssa Sanders (so. Pitman, NJ/Pitman) earned second in the 800 meters with a top time of 2:19.41.
Darielle Cross (jr. Cliffwood, NJ/Matawan Reg.) was second in the 100 meter hurdles in 14.50.
In the 100 meters,
Aaniyah Robinson (so. Totowa, NJ/Passaic County Tech.) took fourth with a time of 12.26.
Dani Nicklas (jr. Bellmawr, NJ/Audubon) placed sixth in the 400 meter hurdles in 1:04.89. Both were season top times.
Madison Edwards (fr. Cinnaminson, NJ/Cinnaminson) was third in the 3000 meter steeple chase recording a time of 12:09.85.
In the long jump,
Michelle Macauley (sr. Somerset, NJ/Franklin Twp.) earned fifth with a leap of 17' 9" (5.41 m).
Makayla Taylor (fr. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) had an 11th place finish in the shot put with a mark of 37' 1.25" (11.31 m).
Chelsea Smith (fr. Gibbstown, NJ/
Paulsboro) recorded a distance of 35' 3" (10.74 m) and
Olivia Scattergood (so. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick) tossed 33' 10" (10.31 m). Both were season bests.
The 4x100 meter relay team of
Aspen McMillan (sr. Kendall Park, NJ/South Brunswick),
Sidney McLeod-Whitener (so. Philadelphia, PA/Friends' Central School), Cross and Robinson placed second with a team's top time of 48.28.
The 4x400 meter relay team consisting of
Melina Johnson (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.),
Claire Incantalupo (sr. Sparta, NJ/Sparta), Sturdivant and Nicklas recorded a season best time of 3:59.12.
The track & field team competes at the Widener Invitational on Friday-Saturday April 19-20 at 3 p.m. on the first day and 10 a.m. on the second day.
