Regional ResultsCASTILE, NY – The Rowan University women's cross country team ran at the NCAA Atlantic Regional on Saturday. The Profs finished 17th among 37 schools. The 6K regional course was at Letchworth State Park.
Jessalynn Wright (sr. Marlton, NJ/Cherokee) came in 90th with a time of 24:03.3 and
Catherine Dougherty (sr. Deptford, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) was 92nd in 24:03.5.
Onyi Obelle (sr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) took 119th (24:30.7).
Claire Corbett (jr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) and
Jessica Nguyen (fr. Plainsboro, NJ/West Windsor-Plainsboro) were 128th (24:41.1) and 137th (24:51.3).
Alexis Conte (jr. Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) finished 161st (25:34.5) and
Vanessa Valdes (jr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) was 179th (26:02.0).
St. Lawrence University's Megan Kellogg won the individual title with a time of 21:44.6. SUNY Geneseo took first place in the team scoring and SUNY Oneonta was second. Both teams qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Lake Breeze Golf Course in Winneconne, WI.
The top two teams from the eight regionals advance to the national championships and 16 at-large teams are selected and 56 individuals. The top seven individuals from each region that are not a member of a qualifying team, move on to the national championships.
