GLASSBORO, NJ – The 2025-26 season for Rowan Athletics officially kicks off on Friday, August 29 at 3 p.m. when the men's soccer team is the first to compete, as the Profs take on NYU in Newark, NJ, for the first match of the year.
Rowan is the defending NJAC Champion and is predicted to finish first in the league, while the Profs received votes in the United Soccer Coaches Association Preseason Top 25.
Now in his 12th season with the Profs, head coach Scott Baker's squad will feature a handful of familiar names who are joined by a large group of newcomers, including 12 transfers.
Senior All-American and Academic All-American
Johnny Troiano will again be counted on to lead the offense. The striker totaled 16 goals and seven assists last season to earn NJAC Offensive Player of the Year honors. Other top returnees include 2024 All-NJAC selections
Ryan Cleary,
Davide Caputo,
Jake Homowitz and
Greg Ferreira.
The Profs will face a stiff test for the home opener when they host #22 Franklin & Marshall on Sunday, August 31 at 1 p.m. Other key dates on the schedule are contests against #6 Messiah (away, September 6), Cortland (home, September 10), Salisbury (home, September 20), Stockton (home, October 15) and Montclair State (home, October 18- Homecoming).
