KANSAS CITY, MO –
Johnny Troiano,
Ryan Cleary,
Evan Schlotterbeck and
Greg Ferreira have been named to the United Soccer Coaches Division III Scholar All-East Region team, as selected by the coaches' organization.
Troiano and Cleary were named to the First Team, Schlotterbeck was chosen to the Second Team and Ferreira earned a spot on the Third Team.
Troiano, a law & justice studies major, was named the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for Division III Men's Soccer, while earning a selection to the CSC Academic All-America First Team for the second year in a row. The team's leading scorer, Troiano is also a two-time All-American and the two-time NJAC Offensive Player of the Year.
Cleary, a finance major, earned his second straight selection to the Philly-SIDA Academic All-Area Team this year. The senior was named the NJAC's Defensive Player of the Year and picked up his fourth selection to the All-Conference Team, while earning All-Region honors for the third time.
Schlotterbeck, who is pursuing his master's degree in strategic communication, joined the Profs this season as a graduate transfer. He was named to the All-Region Second Team after scoring four goals while starting all 25 matches.
A junior accounting major, Ferreira was chosen to the All-Region Team this season. The defender also earned All-Conference honors for the second year in a row.
