Women's Cross Country Picks Up USTFCCCA Individual and Team Academic Honors

GLASSBORO, NJ – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Anna Sasse, Ally Wernik, and Emily Zanni as USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes for the 2024 NCAA Division III Cross Country season.

In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.

Sasse and Wernik were honored for the second-straight year while Zanni captures her first award.

All three finished in the top 40 at the NCAA Metro Region Championship to earn all-region honors. The Profs totaled 81 points to edge out second-place Swarthmore with 86 points for its first-ever NCAA Metro Region title that qualified the team to the Division III Championship race.

In addition to the individual academic honors, the squad was selected an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team. In order to qualify for the team award, schools must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period, among other qualifiers.

Rowan, who finished ranked 32nd in the final USTFCCA Cross Country Poll, finished the fall semester with a 3.56 team GPA.
