LOGAN TOWNSHIP, NJ --
Gabriella Pagano finished in the top 10 in the women's championship race at the tenth-annual Border Battle on Saturday at DREAM Park.
FINAL RESULTS
Pagano was seventh overall (21:43.0) in the 6k jaunt that had nearly 300 student-athletes in the mix. The Profs would place third overall with 231 points.
Shannon Stakelbeck (21:43.0) was 40th,
Ally Wernik (22:45.1) took 43th,
Jezena Aponte (23:28.6) was 83rd, and
Juliana Sieminski (23:29.8) was 85th to form the top five scorers.
Chole Bonson of Carnegie Mellon was the individual winner (20:57.9), leading the Tartans, who had all five racers place in the top 20, to the team title with 32 points. Johns Hopkins was second with 127 points.
The women's open race featured
Emily Fraser (25:15.7) in 20th,
Issy Smith (25:37.7) in 28th, and
Maggie Michelet (25:41.7) in 30th.
Julissa Sierra (26:52.3) and
Gianna Norris (28:06.7) also saw action. The Profs took fifth (172 points) out of 14 scoring teams.
On Saturday, November 1st, the squad heads to Stockton for the 2025 NJAC Championship looking to defend its title that was won last season.
