Johnny Troiano,
Davide Caputo and
Ryan Cleary have been named to the NCAA Division III All-Region IV Men's Soccer Team, as chosen by the United Soccer Coaches Association. Troiano was chosen to the First Team while Caputo earned Second Team honors and Cleary was selected to the Third Team. It marks the first All-Region honors for all three players
Troiano was Rowan's leading scorer, and ranked second in the conference, with a career-best 15 goals and five assists and for 35 points. The sophomore was named to the All-NJAC First Team as he tallied nine goals in conference play.
The forward had five multiple-goal games on the season and four game-winning goals, including those in back-to-back league wins over William Paterson and Stockton.
Caputo was the Profs' top playmaker with a team-high seven assists and was Rowan's second leading scorer adding in three goals for 13 points. The midfielder joined Troiano on the All-Conference First Team as he registered eight points (2 goals, 4 assists) in NJAC matches. The sophomore had a two-point effort in a win over NJCU and posted at least one point in three conference contests late in the season.
Cleary was a key defender for Rowan's squad which held its foes to 23 goals in 18 matches, and just 12 goals in nine conference games. The junior was named to the All-Conference Second Team and tallied one goal on the year, in an NJAC win over William Paterson.
Rowan (9-4-5) finished second in the NJAC and reached the conference's championship match for the fourth consecutive season.
