Our first installment of "Know Your Profs" features sophomore
Jay Vandermark of the men's soccer team. Vandermark was the Profs' leading scorer in 2019 as a freshman, scoring 12 goals and totaling 25 points while earning All-NJAC First Team honors.
What was the biggest factor that led you to choose Rowan?
I had always been in conversation with Coach Loidice throughout my soccer career so I knew I was going to be comfortable and enjoy the coaching staff/environment.
What is your most memorable moment in sports, whether at Rowan or before?
My most memorable moment was the entire fall 2019 soccer season at Rowan.
If you could play any other sport in college, what would it be and why?
If I could play any other sport in college it would be basketball. Although I am terrible at basketball I love watching and playing the sport.
Who was your biggest role model growing up?
My dad was always my role model. Watching him as I grew into a man, he has always led me in the right direction and kept me playing sports to keep my head on straight.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would you go and why?
I would love to go to England because I've always wanted to watch a Premier League game in person.
What's your choice - Netflix, YouTube, Cable TV? Favorite show?
Netflix - Favorite show is The Office and no one can tell me that show isn't funny.
Who is your favorite professional athlete or team?
Cristiano Ronaldo and I love the Sixers

Which do you prefer - online classes or in person?
Definitely in person
What is your major at Rowan and what are your career aspirations?
Law and Justice. I would love to be a police officer.
