All-America Scholar-Athletes
LOUISVILLE, KY – The Rowan University softball team was named a 2019 Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Academic Team and nine players earned individual honors.

Korie Hague, first baseman
Steph Kantanas and outfielder
Morgan Zane were selected Easton/NFCA Division III All-America Scholar-Athletes.
The Profs compiled a 3.341 team grade point average (GPA) for the 2018-19 academic year. The team award was given to 117 Division III schools. There were 1,928 student-athletes in Division III that were honored. A player must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher to earn the All-America Scholar-Athlete award.
Gerard graduated with a bachelor's in finance while Mueller earned a degree in health promotion and wellness management. Short is majoring in health and physical education. It is the fourth selection for Mueller and the third for Gerard and Short. Lombardo is enrolled in exploratory studies while Shannon and Zane are majoring in elementary education. This is the second straight year that Lombardo and Shannon received the honor. Hague is studying athletic training and Kantanas is a marketing major. Decker received a bachelor's degree in health and exercise science.
In 2019, Rowan finished the season with a 33-15 record. The softball team advanced to the New Jersey Athletic Conference Championship. The Profs won the NCAA Cambridge Regional and played in the NCAA Willimantic Super Regional.
