PITMAN, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team had five players named to the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) All-Conference Team on Tuesday.

Modou Sowe (jr. Harrison, NJ/Harrison) wins his second straight Defensive Player of the Year accolade. The All-Conference first team included forward
Ryan Campbell (sr. Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) and Sowe.

Shane Doherty (sr. Delran, NJ/Delran) and back
Will Sjaastad (sr. Allentown, NJ/Allentown) claimed All-Conference second team, while midfielder
Kevin Primich (jr Hamilton, NJ/Allentown) received honorable mention.
Sowe anchored the Profs' defense throughout the season, helping Rowan to four shutouts versus conference opponents. He also tallied two assists which is tied for ninth in the league. The junior is tied for second on the team in assists (4) and tied fifth in points (6).
This is the first time Campbell earned a post-season accolade. He is second in the NJAC in points (17), goals (8), shots (51) and shots per game (5.67). The senior scored three game-winners in conference action and leads the team with 33 points on 16 goals and one assist. Campbell was named NJAC Offensive Player of the Week twice.
Doherty is no stranger to NJAC All-Conference honors, as this is his third time winning an end of the season award. He is second on the team in points (10) and goals (4) against NJAC teams. The captain is a main threat for the Rowan offense as he is averaging four shots per contest in conference play, which is ranked fourth. He was a first team selection in 2016 and a second team honoree in 2015. Sjaastad is the backbone of the Profs' defense playing all but five minutes in league action. He scored one goal, dished an assist and helped lead the team to four shutouts which is second in the NJAC. The captain was a first team award winner in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
Primich controlled the midfield throughout the season and tallied one goal in the conference, but has four goals and five assists on the year. He currently sits 10th in the conference in shots per game (2.88) and 12th in shots (23).
