Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team dominated on both sides of the field in a 4-0 victory versus Lehman College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament on Saturday.
The Profs up their record to 17-2-1 and end a long playoff win drought, advancing for the first time since 2003. The Lightning wrap up the year with a 10-4-3 mark. Rowan will face Tufts University on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 5 p.m. in the second round. The Jumbos won 2-0 over Springfield College.
Rowan did not waste any time as back
Brian Dziobak (so. Freehold, NJ/Freehold Twp.) scored just 1:38 into the contest. Midfielder
Tyler Logar (jr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) crossed the ball and Dziobak was there to chip it in over the goalkeeper.

Vinny Ignatowicz (sr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) made the score 2-0 at 8:03. Back
Zack Swarbrick (so. Milton, DE/Cape Henlopen) passed back to midfielder
Jake Conners (jr. Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan). Conners sent the ball into the box and Ignatowicz got a head on it.
The Profs added two more goals in the second half. Midfielder
Pete Hall (fr. Trenton, NJ/Trenton Catholic) deposited his own rebound at 54:41 and forward
Shane Doherty (so. Delran, NJ/Delran) converted a penalty kick with 23:04 to play.
The Rowan defense was stifling all night long and did not allow a shot to get to goalkeepers
Kyle Dennis (so. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) and
Noah Baker (fr. Marlboro, NJ/Colts Neck). Lehman goalies Irvin Barreto (sr. Brooklyn, NY/Martin Luther King Jr.) and Jesus Marin (sr. East Harlem, NY/Manhattan Village Academy) stopped six and three shots respectively.
