Shane Doherty scored his first two collegiate goals in the men's soccer team's 3-2 victory over Clarkson University at the North Country Classic on Sunday afternoon.
The Profs have a record of 2-1 and the Golden Knights fall to 1-2. St. Lawrence University recorded a 3-0 victory over SUNY Fredonia in the tournament's other game.

Clarkson jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 2:01 mark when forward Tucker Wilcox (jr. Broadalbin, NY/Broadalbin-Perth) knocked in a cross from midfielder Zachary Godin (sr. Philadelphia, NY/Indian River). Doherty (fr. Delran, NJ/Delran) tied the game with 40:39 to play in the first half off an assist from midfielder

Vinny Ignatowicz (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) on a cross in the box. Ignatowicz beat the keeper in the right corner for a 2-1 Rowan advantage with 28:20 on the clock. Doherty extended the Profs lead to 3-1, netting his second goal at the 33:55 mark. Midfielder
