Box Score CANTON, NY – The St. Lawrence University men's soccer team defeated Rowan University, 4-0 on Saturday afternoon at the North Country Classic.
 
The Saints have a record of 2-0 and the Profs are 1-1. Clarkson University defeated SUNY Fredonia, 3-2 in the other tournament game.
 
St. Lawrence keeper Ryan Roethel (sr. Monroe, NY/Monroe Woodbury) made five saves. Rowan goalie Kyle Dennis (fr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) stopped six shots.
 
All the scoring game in the second half. Back Christian Yarros (sr. Adamstown MD/Tuscarora) scored at the 50:11 mark off a corner kick from midfielder/forward Noah Bunton (jr. San Diego, CA/Point Loma), giving the Saints a 1-0 lead. St. Lawrence doubled its advantage with 18:59 on the clock after a goal from forward Tapshak Augustine (fr. Abuja, Nigeria/Kiski School) that was assisted by forward Ryan Roche (so. Yorktown Heights, NY/Choate Rosemary Hall). Midfielder Iyayi Imade (fr. Bronx, NY/ASA) made it 3-0 with 16:32 left. Roche recorded his second assist on the tally. Back Dan Hunt (sr. South Glastonbury, CT/Glastonbury) completed the scoring at the 79:21 mark.
 
Rowan continues play in the North Country Classic on Sunday at Clarkson University at 11 a.m.
