Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team defeated Moravian College, 4-0 in the Gilmore Alumni Classic on Saturday night.
The Profs have a record of 4-1 and the Greyhounds are now 3-1. Wesley College won 3-2 in overtime against Berkeley College (NJ) in the nightcap.

Kyle Dennis (fr. South Plainfield, NJ/South Plainfield) played 65:38 and made two saves.
Jon Robbins (sr. Woodtown, NJ/Woodstown) was in the net for the final 24:22. Moravian keeper Brian Boland (sr. King's Park, NY/St. Anthony's) stopped seven shots in 72:08 of action. Bryan Yaskowski (so. Hillsborough, NJ/Hillsborough) recorded five saves in the last 17:52.
Forward
Jake Conners (so. Manalapan, NJ/Manalapan) scored two goals. Midfielders
Vinny Ignatowicz (jr. Toms River, NJ/Toms River S.) and
Blake Czajkowski (fr. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.) each tallied one score. Forward
Shane Doherty (fr. Delran, NJ/Delran) recorded two assists.
Rowan got on the scoreboard at the 2:06 mark, when Conners hit a one timer off a cross from Doherty. Ignatowicz made it 2-0, scoring from Doherty's pass with 28:42 on the clock. Conners took a shot that hit the post and deflected into the net, giving the Profs a 3-0 advantage with 20:58 left. At the 44:56 mark, Czajkowski dribbled around the goalie and put the ball into the empty net.
Rowan concludes play in the Gilmore Alumni Classic on Sunday, Sept. 13 against Wesley at 7 p.m. Moravian faces Berkeley at 5 p.m.
