Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team won 1-0 over Gwynedd-Mercy College in the second round of the Kelly's Sports Ltd./Rowan Invitational Tournament on Saturday night. Rowan is now 3-1, while Gwynedd-Mercy is 0-4.

Rowan scored the only goal of the game at 20:18 of the first half as midfielder Shane Kohler (jr., Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.) scored unassisted after a throw in by forward/midfielder Dylan Smith (sr., Hamilton, NJ/Steinart) and a scramble in front of the net. Goalie Ryan Gill (sr., West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) made one save to earn the victory.

Rowan will return to action on Wednesday night for the New Jersey Athletic Conference opener against Montclair at 7 p.m.

In the game prior, The College of New Jersey shut out Farmingdale State College, 5-0. The College of New Jersey was named the tournament champion, which was decided by goal differential.
