Men's Soccer Wins 2-0 Over Farmingdale State College

Box Score GLASSBORO, NJ – The Rowan University men's soccer team won 2-0 over Farmingdale State College in the first round of the Kelly Sports Ltd./Rowan Invitational Tournament on Friday night.
 
Forward/midfielder Dylan Smith (sr. Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) scored both goals.  His first came on a penalty kick at 45:38.  He hit the net with 21 seconds remaining with an assist from midfielder Shane Kohler (jr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.).  The Profs improve to 2-1 overall while the Rams fall to 1-2 on the season.
 
In the game prior, The College of New Jersey shut out Gwynedd-Mercy College, 4-0.  On Saturday, Farmingdale State plays TCNJ at 6 p.m. followed by Gwynedd-Mercy against Rowan at 8 p.m.
 
Rowan goalkeeper Ryan Gill (sr. West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) had one save for the shutout.  Farmingdale State goalie Angelo Viteritti (sr. Huntington NY/John Glenn) stopped six shots.  The Profs took 18 shots while the Rams had two.
