Box Score KEENE, NH – Forward Dylan Smith (sr., Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) converted a penalty kick at 88:26, giving the Rowan University men's soccer team a 1-0 win over Hobart College in the season opener for both teams. The match was part of the Xara Soccer Classic at Keene College.
 
The game was scoreless through the first 88 minutes, but Rowan was awarded a penalty kick after Hobart committed a foul in the box. Goalie Ryan Gill (sr., West Deptford, NJ/West Deptford) made nine saves for the Profs.
 
Hobart outshot Rowan 18-8, but Rowan had six corners to just two for Hobart.
 
Rowan will face Brandeis University tomorrow at 12:30 p.m. on day two of the Xara Soccer Classic.
