SEWELL, NJ – The Rowan University women's cross country team took first place at the Collegiate Track Conference Championships for the sixth straight year on Saturday.  The championship race was held at Gloucester County College.

Meghan Borz (sr. Buena, NJ/Buena Reg.) ran a winning time of 22:17 in the 6K race.  Christin Bettis (so. Hammonton, NJ/Hammonton) took second place (22:33) followed by Gabby Prendergast (sr. Blackwood, NJ/Highland Reg.), third (23:06).  Onyi Obelle (so. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) finished eighth (23:23) and Samantha Stapleton (sr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) was 10th (23:26).

Priscila Antuna (sr. Waretown, NJ/Southern Reg.) had an 11th place (23:29) while Samantha Farina (jr. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.) and Kathryn Juniewicz (fr. Galloway, NJ/Absegami) were 13th (23:43) and 15th (23:59) respectively.  Grace Kaler (sr. Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany Hills) came in 20th (24:17) and Catherine Nolan (jr. Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Holy Spirit) was 23rd (24:32).  Larissa Pywowariw (fr. Bordentown, NJ/Bordentown Reg.) took 27th (24:55) and Rachel Greenberg (jr. Pitman, NJ/Pitman) was 33rd (25:21).  Claire Corbett (fr. Mount Holly, NJ/Rancocas Valley Reg.) and Francesca Contino (sr. Sewell, NJ/Washington Twp.) were 36th (25:50) and 40th (26:08) respectively.
