PRINCETON, NJ – The Rowan University women’s cross country team finished 17th at the Princeton University Invitational on Saturday.  There were 25 teams in the 6K championship race from all Divisions. 

Danielle Czohla (sr. Lafayette, NJ/High Point Reg.) was the first Profs’ runner to cross the finish line out of 219 runners.  She took 23rd with a time of 22:15.  Meghan Borz (jr. Buena, NJ/Buena Reg.) had a 53rd place in 22:45.  Joy Hanke (sr. Cranford, NJ/Cranford) came in 113th (23:32) while Deana Wood (fr. Voorhees, NJ/Eastern Reg.) and Priscila Antuna (jr. Waretown, NJ/Southern Reg.) were 141th (23:57) and 147 th (24:05) respectively. 

Onyi Obelle (fr. Hackensack, NJ/Hackensack) finished 149th (24:06) and Samantha Stapleton (jr. Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) was 155th (24:15).  Gabby Prendergast (jr. Blackwood, NJ/Highland Reg.) took 169th (24:32) while Brenda Mendez (so. Glassboro, NJ/Delsea Reg.) came in 194th (25:11).

Next week, Rowan hosts the Collegiate Track Conference Championships on Saturday, October 20 at Gloucester County College in Sewell, NJ.  The women’s race is at noon followed by the men at 12:30 p.m.
