BROOKLYN, NY – Midfielder Parker Oris totaled two goals and two assists to lead Rowan University to a 9-0 victory at Medgar Evers College on Monday night.

The Profs improve to 8-5-3, while the Cougars have a 4-15 record.  Forward Christian Fountain (fr. Fredericksburg, VA/Stafford) tallied one goal and two assists.  Midfielders Andrew Brawner (jr. Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape) and Ryan Gordon (jr. Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill W.) each registered one goal and one assist.  Midfielder Shane Kohler (fr. Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Reg.), back Chris Grammatico (so. Batavia, NY/Batavia) and forwards Julian Berrios (jr. Lakewood, NJ/Calvary Academy) and Mike Pinter (fr. Green Pond, NJ/Morris Knolls) added one goal apiece.  Back Mike D’Arrigo (fr. Bridgeton, NJ/St. Augustine Prep), forward Cristhian Gonzalez (sr. Piscataway, NJ/Calasenz (Colombia)) and midfielder Shane Dooley (jr. Burlington, NJ/Burlington Twp.) each dished one assist.

Rowan took 20 shots, while Medgar Evers had 19.  Profs’ goalkeeper Michael Fanz-Huster (jr. Waterford, NJ/Hammonton) made one save in the first half.  Goalkeeper Will Kemp (jr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) stopped three shots in 30 minutes, while goalkeeper Kevin Vasta (so. Randolph, NJ/Randolph) played 15 minutes.  Cougars’ goalkeeper Christopher Walsh (so. Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmond Campion Secondary School (Ontario, Canada)) recorded seven saves.

Brawner put Rowan ahead, 1-0 with a goal at 2:53.  Gordon picked up the assist.  At 10:10, Gordon knocked in a pass from Brawner.  Kohler’s goal came at 21:05 with an assist from Fountain.  Berrios found the net 1:25 later to make the score, 4-0.  Fountain scored on a feed from Oris (fr. Bayville, NJ/Central Reg.) at 27:06.  Oris’ first goal came at 36:53 and Gonzalez had the assist.  With 4:30 remaining in the half, Grammatico scored to give the Profs a 7-0 advantage at the intermission.

At 56:40 in the second period, Oris hit the net on a pass from D’Arrigo.  Pinter’s goal came with 2:21 left to play and the assist was from Fountain.

In the final game of the regular season, Rowan hosts conference opponent The College of New Jersey on Wednesday, October 26 at 7 p.m.
