BRONX, NY – The Rowan University men’s and women’s cross country teams ran at the Fordham Fiasco on Saturday which was held at Van Cortlandt Park. The women finished fourth out of 18 teams that included Division I, II and III. The men were sixth overall among 13 schools.

Jenn Rawls (so. Runnemede, NJ/Highland Reg.) took third place with a time of 18:31.25 over the 5K course. Gabby Prendergast (fr. Blackwood, NJ/Highland Reg.) came in 26th (20:06.09) while Megan Borz (fr. Buena, NJ/Buena Reg.) was 35th (20:25.05). Alli Catenacci (sr. Mullica Hill, NJ/Kingsway Reg.) placed 46th (20:46.18) followed by Liz Guarini (sr. Steinertville, NJ/Steinert) 47th (20:46.82).

On the men’s side, Eric DuBois (jr. Pittsgrove, NJ/A.P. Schalick) finished 13th in the 8K race with a time of 26:49.66. Jeff Terebey (sr. Shamong, NJ/Seneca) took 27th (27:25.57). Brian Quilty (sr. Brick, NJ/Saint Rose) and Jeff Tauriello (fr. Florham Park, NJ/Hanover Park) were 55th (28:26.42) and 58th (28:31.20) respectively. Also scoring was Stephen Hoffman (jr. Ocean City, NJ/Ocean City) in 64th place (28:45.80).

Next, Rowan travels to Oneonta, NY on Friday, September 17 for the Oneonta State Airfield Invitational. The men’s race is at 4 p.m. followed by the women’s at 5 p.m.
