PITMAN, NJ - Rowan saw six student-athletes earn NJAC weekly honors for October —

Kam Brown and
Justus Peyton of the football team;
Sara Wiedeman and
Raven Davies of the women's soccer team; and
Julian Canon of the men's cross country team.
Zarfati was named the Football Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this year. He recorded career highs of 190 receiving yards and three touchdowns, all on six receptions in Rowan's 79-0 NJAC win over Vermont State-Castleton. The junior wide receiver scored all three of his TDs in the first half as the Profs broke school records for most points in a game and the largest margin of victory. It was his fifth-straight game with over 100 receiving yards and a score.
Brown was chosen as the Defensive Player of the Week with a record-setting performance in the win over Vermont State Castleton as he tied a single-game program mark with three interceptions, while returning two of them for touchdowns, which is also a school record. The junior transfer was also credited with three pass breakups in the contest.
Peyton received his second Defensive Rookie of the Week honor this season as he recorded two tackles for losses (for seven yards). The freshman linebacker also added a six-yard sack in the Vermont State Castleton win.
Wiedeman picked up Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in 2026 as she totaled six points on a goal and four assists in a 2-0 NJAC week, helping #4 Rowan stay unbeaten on the year. The senior scored a goal and set up the eventual game winner in Wednesday's 2-1 win over TCNJ. She then added a career-best three assists in the Profs' road win at William Paterson on Saturday.
Davies earned her first Defensive Player of the Week award as she played in all but 11 minutes of the Profs' 2-0 NJAC week, The graduate transfer anchored the defense in all 90 minutes in Wednesday's 2-1 win over TCNJ. On Saturday, she registered her first Rowan point, assisting on a first half goal in Rowan's 5-0 win at William Paterson.
Canon was chosen as the Men's Cross Country Rookie of the week. The freshman was Rowan's top finisher in the men's open at Lehigh's Paul Short Run on Friday, placing 200th in a time of 27:27.28. There was no team scoring in the meet.
The 3-1 football team, which is receiving Top 25 votes, heads to #12 Salisbury on Saturday seeking its fourth straight win.
The women's soccer team will look to keep its 7-0 record intact when it travels to Ramapo on Wednesday and hosts New Paltz on Saturday.
The men's cross country team is off this week before hosting the annual Border Battle on October 17.
To round out the Rowan schedule for the week, the #3 men's soccer team (7-0-2) hosts Ramapo on Wednesday and visits New Paltz on Saturday. The #23 field hockey team (8-3) will travel to Stockton on Wednesday and host William Paterson on Saturday for Senior day. The women's cross country team also takes a break this week before hosting the Border Battle on Oct. 17
