Top-Seeded Baseball Opens Defense of NJAC Title on Tuesday at Home vs. Ramapo

First pitch at 3:30 p.m.

GLASSBORO, NJ  - The seventh-ranked Rowan baseball team will open defense of its conference championship at home on Tuesday, May 2, when the top-seeded Profs play sixth-seeded Ramapo (15-22-1) at 3:30 p.m.
 
Rowan earned its third consecutive regular-season title when it swept Kean (4-3, 8-7) in this past Saturday's regular-season finale. The Profs have won nine in a row and are 30-6 overall, while finishing conference play with a 16-2 mark.

Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $2 for children, students and senior citizens. Admission is free for the first 75 Rowan students. There are no complimentary tickets for NJAC Championships and season passes will not be accepted.
 
After Tuesday's opening games, play in the double-elimination tournament will move to Kean University's Jim Hynes Stadium on Friday, May 6, with play continuing thru Sunday, May 7 (if necessary).

TOURNAMENT BRACKET
 
Rowan captured last year's NJAC Championship, marking the first since 2018 and the third under head coach Mike Dickson.
 
Leading the Profs this season at the plate are 3B Anthony Schooley (.404, 35 RBI), RF Ryan Murphy (.362, 41 RBI, 8 HR), 2B Tyler Cannon (.357, 31 R) and C Hunter Wroniuk (.347, 10 2B).
 
On the mound, Rowan is led by Eli Atiya is 70-0 with a 1.17 ERA and 52 strikeouts while Jason O'Neill is 7-1 with 39 strikeouts. Mike Shannon has notched a 5-1 record in relief and closer Christian Bascunan leads the NJAC with a school-record 10 saves this season.
